Arnold Schwarzenegger, the celebrated action star and former governor of California, recently shared insights into his romantic life with physical therapist Heather Milligan during his guest appearance on the “New Heights” podcast hosted by Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce on April 3.
Schwarzenegger, who hails from Austria, revealed how his relationship with football deepened through his interactions with his sons and later, significantly, with Milligan. About ten years ago, Schwarzenegger began his relationship with Milligan, who is deeply embedded in the sports world, treating renowned athletes from the NFL, NBA, UFC, and more. “I learned the game. I learned the rules and then later on, I fell in love with Heather, with my girlfriend, who is a physical therapist,” Schwarzenegger shared.
Milligan, who founded Elite OrthoSport in Los Angeles, brings a comprehensive background in sports physical therapy, enriched by her 20-year career as a competitive gymnast. She holds a physical therapy degree and an MBA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Schwarzenegger praises Milligan’s passion for sports and her independent, driven nature. He enjoys visiting her at work, where he interacts with her clients, admiring their athleticism and dedication. He also highlighted her caring nature, particularly her daily conversations with her grandmother, showcasing her deep familial ties and compassionate character.
The couple met in 2012 when Schwarzenegger was preparing for his role in the film “Escape Plan” and needed physical therapy after shoulder surgery. His surgeon recommended Milligan, marking the beginning of their professional interaction and, subsequently, their personal relationship. After the film, Schwarzenegger reconnected with Milligan to express his gratitude, which eventually led to their romance.
Schwarzenegger and Milligan have since been seen together at various events, including the premiere of “The 15:17 to Paris” in Burbank, California, underscoring their strong connection both personally and through their shared interests in the world of sports and health.
